Nicole Kosineski CD(DONA), Owner
I am, first and foremost, the mother of two beautiful girls,
Paige and Payton. They are my world, and my inspiration. I
have been a birth doula through DONA International for
two years. I feel blessed to have found my calling as a
Birth Doula. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I
had never heard of a doula. A friend who had just given
birth had used one, and strongly recommended that I
check one out in my area. I am forever greatful for that
advice.
I had two natural, fairly uncomplicated pregnancies that
resulted in two wonderful, natural labor and deliveries. I
know that part of my success and happiness for my births
is due to my very supportive birth team of my husband and
doulas. There was nothing better in the world than to have
support through labor.
I also teach the babywearing classes for Frederick County.
I wear both of my children regularly. It has helped the
mother-child bond, and allowed me to chase after a very
active two year old while nursing my infant.
I have breastfed both of my children. While I had a rocky
start nursing the oldest, we persevered, and I was able to
maintain a nursing relationship with her until she was 15
months old, and we weaned due to complications with my
second pregnancy. I am currently still nursing my 9 month
old. I love chatting with other mothers about breastfeeding
woes and loves!
